The food is delicious, but the vegetable curry was a bit watered down. The portions were reasonable, but the prices felt quite steep, although I understand that this might be due to the location. Paying $2 for a teaspoon of sambal and $7 for a few pieces of pete goreng seemed excessive. The restaurant is clean and beautiful, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is good, but I would suggest exploring cheaper options elsewhere. However, if you’re "in the city" and craving Indonesian cuisine, I would still recommend this place, as it was generally enjoyable.
The food brought me back to my time in Indonesia. The nasi goreng had that authentic street food vibe that I loved in Jakarta. However, it was missing something I was hoping for: Padang! The atmosphere of the place was decent, but the prices were a bit on the high side. Additionally, the loud noise from the air conditioning made it difficult to have a conversation. Despite that, the food was definitely worth it!
