This was our first time visiting this restaurant & it didn't disappoint, we had the Degustation menu which was fantastic & it was no problem to get mine GF The owner went around the tables chatting to everyone & was super friendly which was a nice touch, the service was good in the beginning but as more people arrived it did lack a little. We have dined here on a number of occasions and the food and service are always excellent. I tend to go for the seven course degustation menu to which the chef makes occasional tweaks but it always delivers. He balances the mix of Japanese and Korean to perfection and at the end of service usually finds time to have a chat and a wine with the diners. One of the 2 best places to eat in the Sutherland shire.
My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant on Valentines Day. The 7-course degustation was amazing! The service was excellent and the owner David took the time to visit everyone's table. Lovely understated décor and ambience made for a wonderful culinary event!
What a magical little restaurant. It is a small and intimate restaurant. The chef greets all costumers throughout the night to make sure everything is ok and to say hi. Well worth a night out with someone special or with a group of girl friends!

We have enjoyed coming to this restaurant a few times over the last couple of months. My 17 y.o son was a little sceptical about some of the courses but everyone else loved trying different things. Even miss GF was well taken care of.
Seven lanterns doesn't disappoint with its Korean style barbecue offering. The food is great, the prawn tails are to die for and the owner is always welcoming and polite. It is a little pricey but a great choice for a nice evening.
