the service was not very good. we ordered and wait for 20 minutes and our drinks did not receive my wife went to ask for them. the waitress began to argue with her that she prepared the escape, but there was a cook in the kitchen and we were the only customers. the food arrived and was good, but our used drink glass and empty bottles were not removed during the meal, so I stacked them on an adjacent table. this has not yet asked the waitress to remove it. my wife paid the bill while I was waiting outside with the young. we had a discount voucher worth $25 (not a percentage of the cost). we were charged $131.40 for the meal. my wife assured me that the waitress...read more
I have used this restaurant several times with my family and was quite pleased with their buffet and a la carte menus, with free BYO and a good wine list. However they have now done away with the BYO and now serve no alcoholic drinks at all. They said that "their muslim customers were offended by the consumption of alcoholic drinks". we will not be going back as we are offended by this un-Australian attitude. I wonder what will happen with those customers who have bought scoopon or groupon vouchers that include wine with the meals.
Very odd. Decor is pretty good, glassware is great, yet food is lacking. Toilets need some work too. Food was hit and miss with our group. Entrees VERY oversized, yet mains lacked flavour. Papadums were cold, cheese naan was amazing. Free BYO. If you don't have much experience with good Indian food you'd probably like this place. Complaints aren't well received. My partner and I both enjoyed the buffet. Hot, tasty pakoras, tikka chicken and a variety of meat and vegetable curries with sides of rice, chutney, pickles, raita and papadums. The garlic naans are cooked fresh and are delicious. Friendly waitress and comfortable venue. Try a Groupon or Scoupon buffet deal which includes a bottle of very drinkable wine and a small dessert.
The two of us were extremely pleased to find this Indian gem.The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming.The food is served in generous portions.The meals are very affordable.There is currently a buffet special deal on Wed - Sunday (check their website or phone them for details).There is also take-away and home delivery available.
