We have been on a 3-week-trip around Scotland and tried many different Indian restaurants. This was one of the best and we ordered there twice. The take-away meal deals are good value for money and we liked that they have a mix and match meal deal too where you can choose any 2 curries 2 rice 1 naan Pakora Poppadoms for 25 pounds. The curries are very tasty and my favourite was the La-Jawab. I wish we had stayed longer in the area and could have tried more curries from the huge menu. Only the Naan was too thick and fluffy for my taste, I prefer it when it is thinner. I wish they were open also for lunch or a little bit earlier in the afternoon. Great value for money and fantastic flavours. Hands down the best takeaway in the town. Only issue I’ve had is the inconsistency in terms of how spicy (hot) the meals have been. I’ve ordered the same curry each time, a balti which is normally medium spiced. Tonight’s was far too hot, up there with a jalfrezi so I couldn’t finish it unfortunately. Not sure what’s happened tonight as it’s normally perfect so I’ll need to make sure I mention that I don’t want it that hot. Just something to keep in mind if you’re ordering.
Me and my partner just had a meal for the 1st time for here and I’ve got to say it’s the best curry I’ve ever had in this country- they aren’t afraid to use spices and the food has so much flavour. Most places we have been to it’s like there afraid to use spice but not this place! The food was perfect. The staff are so kind and helpful too if I could rate more than 5 stars I would give the staff 10/10. Another thing too, the restaurant and the bathrooms are so clean. Would highly recommend this restaurant!!
Absolutely stunning food which has become our benchmark for all other comparisons. Honestly, feels Michelin star. Quality is superb and the flavours are exceptional. Would highly recommend for dining in and don't let the lower star reviews who are complaining about delivery times, put you off experiencing this fabulous Indian restaurant in person. We'll be back! Popped in on a Thursday night, staff were all very friendly and efficient, service great. Portions were huge and food well presented tasty. King prawn puri was delicious, as was the tandoori sea bass which was served with rice and a lovely sauce. The hulk kebab was definitely aptly named! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
