I encountered two different male stockers while looking for more Diet Coke on sale, but both simply shrugged and continued with their tasks. I then went to the front counter, where they provided me with a rain check. While I was near the back of the store, I noticed an older gentleman in a purple ShopRite shirt and asked him about when they would receive more Diet Coke. He informed me that they were unloading a truck and offered to check if any Diet Coke was on it. After a few minutes, he returned with a flat cart full of Diet Coke and asked how many I wanted. Who ever had the idea to change the self checkout to 20 items or less is a moron. I use self checkout because I want to minimize the amount of people toucking my food items many of which go in the fridge. In the regular check out lanes the cashiers are handling money all day from multiple people and touching your items as they bag them. How often do you see a cashier sanitize their hands between each transaction? Think about it..........change back the policy or make it a number of items that's less than a full cart so the person watching can keep track. Also put 2 people watching in place of just 1 person that's watching 6 checkout lanes and can't keep off of social media while at work....
I encountered a frustrating situation at the store when an employee blocked the self-checkout area with a large rack as I approached. After I completed my purchase at a cashier, I noticed them move the rack to allow another customer to pass. It’s worth mentioning that I was shopping as an Instacart shopper, not for myself. I don't usually shop here, but this experience has led me to decide against accepting any future orders from this store. It's disappointing to see such poor customer service and to feel unfairly judged based on appearances.
I had a really disappointing experience with the customer service. They kept coming up with excuses. Why do the doors lock at 9:45 when the store is supposed to remain open until 10? I get that your staff needs to go home, but this is a grocery store that charges the highest prices in the area. It's frustrating. I rushed to get there, and honestly, Giant is much more dependable!

I'm really surprised by the number of expired items I've found on the shelves. For instance, I came across fresh pasta sauce that had expired just two days prior. This is the second time I've purchased lunch meat that was spoiled by the time I got home. This is completely unacceptable. I'm not trying to be difficult; I simply want my food to be fresh.
I visited this grocery store today at 10 am, and it was extremely crowded, making social distancing impossible. I'm really disappointed that this ShopRite isn't managing the number of customers allowed inside at one time. It feels like they aren't taking COVID-19 seriously, except for having a staff member clean the carts.
This Shoprite location is the worst in the area. I have been shopping here for years, but the quality has significantly declined. I frequently encounter food that seems more expired than fresh. The management appears to be inattentive and unmotivated.
Excellent bargain on chicken breasts! The vegetables are fresh and of good quality. The store is spacious with a great overall selection. Prices are reasonable, especially if you enroll in the store's loyalty program.
