Updated July 2022: Very friendly service, but a little slow. Food was pretty good still the pimento cheese chicken was a little bit oily, and the queso was cold in spots, but the shrimp and broccoli were excellent! The server and the kitchen staff were accommodating to my dietary requests (little to no butter oil on my plate, please! They were kind and helpful! (Oh, but the bathroom floor was so sticky that I almost lost a flip flop! Someone mop it with some vinegar or something! So freaking good, no matter how long this place is in business! Service is friendly but kind of slow. Not sure what to say except be more responsive?
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. He ordered a steak that was a bit more cooked than he preferred, but it was very juicy and well-seasoned. I had mine prepared perfectly, between medium and medium-well, and it was also juicy and flavorful. Our waitress, Darby, was prompt and friendly; we didn’t have to ask for anything as she was attentive to our needs and managed to take care of other tables as well. Plus, they played music that I really liked. He had the John Wayne steak, while I enjoyed the 16oz house ribeye, along with fried pickles and Monterey pepper jack bites. Overall, a great experience!
Good prices, excellent burgers, their fries portion sizes makes a large in truth a medium, so you might want an appetizer or an extra order of fries. Good drinks, sodas not watered down. Since fast food is the same price, I'd go with Skinny J every time. I've heard live music in this area before, and it can be loud, so ask them to turn it down, but lately it's been really good. Staff is incredibly nice. The meat tasted really fresh, I was very satisfied. Four and a half stars because of fries portion, but a half point more for music and good prices.
The service at the bar was outstanding! I tried the cash club sandwich, and as a regular club member, I can say this one really exceeded my expectations—it was fantastic. The jalapeño bread had a great flavor. The over-easy egg was a delicious addition. Don't overlook the green beans seasoned with garlic and possibly Old Bay; they were phenomenal. Overall, it's a wonderful place, and I highly recommend it!

Great experience! Service was fast, friendly and accurate. We ordered a variety of food and it was all fresh and flavorful. I personally had the crab cakes which were delicious! We are already talking about going back to try different menu items. Parking was a bit of a challenge but not impossible. Definitely recommend.
On June 27, 2023, I had an excellent dinner at the restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting, and the waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and quick. Finding parking can be a bit challenging, but the happy hour drinks are a great deal. The restaurant had a clean environment and a comfortable temperature.
I had the Reuben egg rolls for appetizer and cheesesteak for main. Both were excellent. I sat at the bar during a slow time so service was obviously good. No IPAs on draft at this time but plenty of cans to choose from. I'd definitely return.
Skinny J's is absolutely and amazing place to eat and to have some good drinks. Food is worth traveling for. Savanna the waitress has been fabulous. Highly recommended to stop and get a full belly.

Omgosh. So good. We will have to come back and try other stuff. The heart attack, cheese steak, and the rueben rolls were excellent.
Went here for drinks with friends. I love their fries and fried pickles. Great atmosphere!
