We visited The Smithy Pond today on 29/01/2024 at 2:10pm. It was not very crowded. We ordered from the senior meal deal menu. Unfortunately, my wife had the hunter's chicken and it was very disappointing. The portion was small and the chicken was undercooked. This was the worst meal we have ever had at this restaurant, and we used to come here regularly. It will be a while before we decide to dine here again.
Called for tea didn’t book a table but one was available. I am writing this review as this is my second time having a meal here, all the staff are very friendly, helpful very pleasant The meal was lovely excepted my blue light card discount which is a benefit we will be returning I will tell friends family about this eating place
We waited for an hour for our food, but when it finally arrived, the "creamy mash" was just warm and overcooked, the broccoli was cold, and the pie was lukewarm in the center. The waitress quickly checked if our meals were okay but left before we could respond. Overall, it was not a good experience.
Excellent pub and restaurant, called in Sunday dinner,had the traditional Sunday turkey roast followed by Eton mess and washed down with a Pint of Guinness,paradise,better than any lottery win,100% recommend. Book a table now
Amazing pub lovely atmosphere and brilliant staff young lad on the phone called Jack was so friendly and and food came out in really good time and amazing quality 10/10 would recommend
This place is run down the food is shocking! The service was very slow everyone was complaining! It's only redeeming feature is free parking a great view over the lido.
