Took my girlfriend here excited to try the BBQ. She was starving. We sat down and no one acknowledged us for over 15 minutes. All the tables around us were dirty. Multiple employees were sitting around talking. No one offered to help with our drinks. Did the math and figured if no one cared to even let us know they would get to us our wait for our meal would be at least an hour. We got up and left to avoid the hassle. No one said a word to us. Unacceptable, terrible customer service, everyone working there should be fired and they should start from scratch. I have NEVER experienced this in a restaurant before. The food was delicious and fresh. Only reasons I knocked a couple of stars off was because my drink order was Diet Coke. The drink was served was regular Coke. My server disappeared while we ate, so I drank the Coke anyway, begrudgingly. I asked for a refill of DIET Coke to go and was given Sweet Tea. I left it on the table. Then, as I was signing the credit card slip, the server stood beside me a watched my complete the tip. She got more than I was going to give since I didn't want to deal with any fall out. That was very uncomfortable.
I was very satisfied to eat at this great place. The barbecued cuts of meat tasted amazingly good. They were tender and perfectly spiced up. Also, they had many bbq sauces to choose from at the table. The staff treated me in a friendly and caring manner and that made me enjoy my food even more. Very clean place, all customers seemed happy to be at this cool place.

Ribs are definitely an A+ meaty and falls off the bone. Wasn't too happy about the sides, I added my own seasonings to the baked beans for my own liking. Will go back for the ribs only.
Always great food and sweet tea! My grandson ordered Rothals! I warned him you don't like Coleslaw! He loved her! I had one, very good! My son had AYCE ribs, grandson ribs
As usual. Not the best this time, compared to other visits. I eat there only once a year. I live in Michigan and Sonny 's is a must for every visit to Atlanta.
