Myself and three other friends came here for dinner to catch up and enjoy a relaxing evening out. Our reservation was at 7:45 and after our experience last night, I am now well aware the kitchen closes at 9. Having said that, two of the four guests werethere on time and the other two made it by 8pm. Our server told myself and the other guest (even though the other two hadn?tarrived) that we should definitely start ordering because the kitchen closes at 9. Ok, so here we are, rushed right from thebeginning. Why allow a reservation at 7:45 if servers will then rush us and tell guests what time the kitchen is closing? Maybestop reservations at 7pm then? Next, we were all sharing pasta dishes so...
When our pasta dishes arrived, my Asian friend suggested we share them. To our surprise, the server responded by saying this isn’t a Chinese restaurant and that sharing isn’t allowed here. Although it may have been meant as a joke, it felt completely inappropriate and made us uncomfortable.
We didn’t order dessert because the server hurried us again, reminding us that the kitchen was closing soon. Additionally, the restroom lacked a hook or small table for handbags, so we had to either hold them or place them on the floor.

First time to this BYO in Bryn Mawr. The service was very good and we had some nice conversations with the hostess, the waiter, and the owner (he is a gem). Unfortunately the food was good, but unremarkable. Nothing overtly creative or unique that would differentiate the preparation. The meatballs were lukewarm and needed some seasoning. The bread was likely from the local grocery store. My pappardelle with shrimp and cauliflower was very good. My dessert with strawberries and whipped cream infused with ginger was light and tasty. We will likely give them another try. This was a busy Saturday night where they had to crowd the outdoor guests into the restaurant because of weather.
Excellent dining experience. This was our first time dining here and we will definitely return; often. Lovely interior table cloths, cloth napkins, spacious seating) and the nicest staff; warm, attentive but not fussy. Our appetizer of a Cesar saladwith prosciutto was delicious! My husband had mussels in a white sauce as his entree, and I had the flatbread special of theday; fig, and goat cheese. Perfect! The bread with ricotta cheese and seasoned olive oil preceded our dinner, so we ended up toofull to order dessert. You will not be disappointed in choosing to eat here. And, it is a BYOB which is an added plus. We can?twait to go back soon.

Sontuosabyob is a true gem on the Main Line. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family and truly appreciated the attentive service. We genuinely felt like VIPs, even with no personal connection to the restaurant. The pork was outstanding, and the bronzino was full of flavor. The beet salad was perfectly dressed and delicious. Don’t forget to take home the blueberry dessert. We enjoyed a lovely evening dining outside. The staff works tirelessly to ensure every guest is satisfied. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Remember: BYOB!
Sontuosa in Bryn Mawr offered a delightful al fresco dining experience tonight, with the added bonus of my little one enjoying watching the trains pass by. We savored grilled calamari, meatballs, fresh bread with sweet ricotta, chicken, salmon, branzino, eggplant with ground lamb, chocolate mousse layer cake, and blueberry crumble. Our top picks were the chocolate layer cake and the grilled calamari—such a refreshing change from the usual fried preparation. Mary Guzman and Ernesto Guzman were incredibly warm and welcoming as well.

Our favorites were the chocolate layer cake and grilled calamari... sonice to see it prepared a different way besides fried. Mary Guzman and Ernesto Guzman are so welcoming and friendly as well.

For our appetizer, we savored a Caesar salad topped with prosciutto, which was absolutely delicious. My husband chose mussels in a white sauce for his entrée, while I opted for the daily flatbread special featuring figs and goat cheese—utterly perfect! We also enjoyed bread served with ricotta cheese and olive oil before our meal, which made us too full for dessert. You won’t be disappointed dining here, and the BYOB policy is a great bonus. We’re excited to return soon!
Went here on my Birthday. I enjoyed all the courses. The very different appetizers were interesting and delicious. Good size entries so your not going home hungry. A BYOB also. Will enjoy coming back for more. The staff was more than helpfull by makingus feel at home. Price was reasonable I believe? It was my birthday so my kids paid.
