“Ten percent reduction” it said on the back of my supermarket receipt.. the address being local we new to the area ...So off we went..7pm on a cool wintry night ..along the less than unfriendly Parramatta Rd...but when we arrived ..were we to be...the only diners? Oh dear! But nothing else we saw on the long walk from the car parking difficult with time restrictions looked any better..so in we went .. TV was too loudly being watched by someone’s child this was the first strike..off that went! To get going we asked for one serve of gyoza to share ..which came rapidly..but hadn’t been pan-seared as is traditional- but deep fried ! Weird...but tasty. Very little sashimi listed so it being our f...

new owners oktober 2019 beautiful hard working friendly Japanese family. the restaurant is now managed and supervised by the family members such as the sushi cook and the floor staff. we had an amazing fresh lunch of sashimi don and chickenteriyaki don along with the side of nasu denhaku (Miso...Eggplant) the sashimi was fresh and generous, as the salatreis. teriyaki and auberginen were abundant, super fresh and not heavily loaded with sugar or oils. recommend sushi bar rashai for healthy authentic japaner. we look forward to supporting this local family-run Japanese restaurant.

This place has been through a number of lives but the current owners seem to have it under control. The food is fresh and prepared in an authentic Japanese manner with excellent presentation. The Wasabi is genuine (not coloured horseradish) and the sauces are excellent....A lovely touch is the bottle of cold water delivered to the table as soon as guests are seated. If it is a while since you have been here, I recommend you come back. The food is excellent.

took the kids for a birthday meal, hadn't been back for several years. The floor space of the restaurant had halved, but no issue in a table for 7 on a weeknight. noodle salad was always a highlight, and still good, as was the sushi....tempura seafood was a bit hit and miss and the kids tempura ice cream did not live up to the expectations from earlier visits. Generally very nice, but not quite excellent. Book a table now

Since starting to work in the area, this has become a favourite! The sushi is always fresh and if its not on the train they will make it for you. Its not overly fancy but clean and all plates are the same price (Cheap! We...often go on the weekend with our 2 year old daughter and its not a hassel at all. We often feel akward taking her to eat out but not here, great family sushi train. Highly Recomend!

Ordered with Ubereats. Reasonable serving size especially when the prices aren't exactly cheap. The sushi rolls I ordered were better than a lot of places I have eaten in Sydney. Got some chicken katsu that actually ended up being the star of the meal. That was a great surprise. I will give this place a other shot but maybe in store will be better!

Yes, the new owners are a Japanese family. quality and taste have made a huge step forward. this family restaurant deserves our support. Why? easy because it is deliciously fresh and tasty. I recommend the sashimi deluxe; it's perfect. the owner. friendly and gracious. please support them in their efforts to bring the Indian west culinary joy.

This Japanese restaurant used to serve such beautiful sushi and sashimi at reasonable prices and now it is upped the prices and severely decreased the amount served (while telling me it is all exactly the same..... . What a joke. If anyone knows where the previous...owner or chef has gone, please let me know! Book a table now

my first visit to sushi bar rashai was a pleasant surprise in many years. eating, especially sashini and sushi, was impressive and the service was cheerful and efficient. they can also practice or speak Japanese and they will answer with a giggle. anata no nihongo wa jōzudesu I like this.
