Absolutely outstanding food. It’s delicious and plentiful. My favourite is the Chilli Chicken Masala with a lemon rice, the chicken is tender, the sauce is flavoursome and has just the right amount of spice to make it ultra tasty. The lemon rice offsets everything perfectly. Staff are so friendly, helpful and courteous. Taj and his staff really are great hosts. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. We travel from Newton Aycliffe to the restaurant in Richmond, it’s quite a drive but so worth it .
I ordered a vindaloo and requested it to be as spicy as a phal. I was assured that it would be. However, after tasting it, I realized it was just a basic 'curry sauce' and lacked the desired level of spiciness. It was more on par with a bhuna at best. I was disappointed with the lack of heat. I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to friends. There are two other curry houses in town, one of which is excellent.
I had a wonderful experience dining at this restaurant for my birthday while on a weekend getaway. The atmosphere was great, and Taj and the staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and arrived quickly, with generous portions. The drink menu was also impressive. I can't wait to come back!
Arrived at the Taj Mahal Richmond North Yorkshire after been told about this calm Indian restaurant. The wife and I were seated, drinks and food were served to the table very quickly even though the restaurant was reasonably full. Not to be missed if you enjoy great Indian food.

I visited the restaurant on 29/10/22 to celebrate my husband's and our friends' birthdays. We had a wonderful meal, the staff were incredibly friendly, the service was excellent, and all the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Best Indian meal I’ve had in a long time. This is such an exciting addition to Richmond. Good friendly and very efficient staff. We will be back.
