Finally I've found a worthy curry house I can be happy regularly since my previous favorite, massala, burned a year or so before. great service and eat that well presented and especially delicious! I had a tikka madras and it had only the right amount of heat was still full of taste. the shami kebab starter was great and the naan was probably one of the best I ever had. my only smaller negatiw is that in contrast to most curry houses it is quite brightly lit, which means that it loses a little of the atmosphere that they normally expect in an Indian restaurant. but if there was a choice between great food and atmospheric lighting, it will win every time!
the taj mahal is our native Indian and very happy also we. like, the majority of the Indians serves it meat and fish, but the well-marked and extensive list of vegan starters, main courses and side is unusual. also the employees are extremely sticked to the ingredients of their food and I never fear that mistakes could be made. every trip to the taj mahal is enjoyed and reopened. it would be wonderful to have a purely vegan restaurant, but in a city like braintree, which will simply never happen.
thought I would let all Braintree residents and surrounding areas know about the fantastic Indian Sunday buffet I went to today . It's called the Taj Mal 8 Cressing Road , Braintree . The buffet is on from 2-9 pm each Sunday . Great food and fantastic staff. Excellent value for money and highly recommend it . Must try it . X
what a wonderful place to eat, the vegetable corma was delicious and our waiter b was extremely helpful and attentive. thanks for making our evening so special from home. very well recommend this jewel of a place and will definitely be back when we return to braintree

I must say, best Indian I have had in a very long time. Dipu was a great host and introduced me to a fantastic Spinach and lamb dish which was fantastic. I will be back!!!
