Myself and a friend who must eat gluten-free food were in the top part of the city to see a movie at the Kino, so called into Tazio for lunch. The range of pizzas offered gluten-free options but we were feeling like eating some fish, so selected the crispy skin salmon. ($29).The meal was delicious. On the side of the plate was a pile of (cold) pieces of potato with some globe artichokes in a very nice dressing. Across the piece of fish were spears of asparagus (hot). I thought the fish was a little overcooked but my friend did not agree. Both of us enjoyed our meal. Service was attentive, despite a trainee who did not appear to understand us!It's nice to know that Tazio changes its menu on a...

I booked late (in the morning for the lunch we were having that day) for a colleague's farewell. Tazio got in touch with me very quickly, asking if it was for a special occasion and who the special occasion was for, and adjusted the booking when I had an RSVP. Their customer service was amazing (the special person was offered a complimentary cocktail). The food was also outstanding, with a wide range (we only had pizzas to share) and I would definitely go back next time we have a team lunch.
Had dinner here tonight, not too busy. Food arrived really quick which was good but a bit too quick, we were still eating our starter when our mains arrived. Had the lamb pasta and the sausage pizza, pasta was really nice, pizza was OK but not much flavour. Order a drink which never arrived, when we went to pay we let the staff know and that said 'oh OK, it's not on your bill', not oh sorry would you like a drink now?? Oh well, average dinner, quick service but wouldn't come back again.
Checked out this restaurant on a recent weekend visit to Melbourne. Despite it being a busy Friday evening in the city and the restaurant super-full, service was attentive, fast and friendly. The food was fabulous. We tried a selection of the pizzas, and our favourites were the sausage & feta, as well as the prawn and basil. Thin crust, generous toppings and serves piping hot and melt-in-your-mouth,We had a bottle of the Kemosabe red wine with the pizzas; which was great too. Book a table now
My husband hadn't gotten around to booking a place for dinner so after trudging around and being turned away from full restaurants we were all relieved to find a place so warm and welcoming and with great food! Waiter was super helpful even organizing a child's meal for the fussy eater in our family. Everyone else was happy with the pizzas and the perfect prawn and pea risotto.
I ordered a pizza with veggies in thin crust. First bite was yummy and even yummier to the last bite. I'm not a fan of pizza but this restaurant obviously has converted me. However, $20 for a whole pizza I guess is pricey. The facade could have been improved as it looks worn out & dry, needs retouch to uplift the vibe.
Beautiful food. I had the salmon & it arrived with asparagus &salad.Beautifully cooked and presented. We took a chance and walked in off the street no reservation. They were clearly very busy. Staff worked well together....like a well oiled machine. If we're ever back in Melbourne we'll be back
Lamb Ragu: 5/5Service: 4/5Price: 3/5 ($53.50 for two pasta dishes. My friend asked for gluten free pasta but was not told that there is a $4 surcharge. Maybe this was in the fineprint on the menu but it was so dark inside that you can hardly read the menu as it is!)Overall: 4/5 Book a table now
