There is a tendency for certain types of restaurants to say "we are a Lebanese place we will thus have the 14 dishes that every other Lebanese place has". One of the joys of this place is that the menu is different from every other Lebanese restaurant in the known world. Food is produced in wooden bowls with lots of strange pickles and other things you have never seen before. Food is all interesting and great to eat. The staff are friendly and the majority of customers are young. There is thus a pleasant informal vibe. We visited on a Friday night and have no complaints about the food. It was tasty and plentiful. It was very busy and noisy so probably more suitable for group celebrations on busy nights. Couples might prefer weeknights if they're after something intimate. There was also plenty of staff though they made assumptions we'd been there before and didn't explain any menu elements. Indeed, they seemed a little put out when we asked about items (though, again, they were super busy so possibly there was some stress at play). Despite the fact it was busy and super noisy and the staff were a bit on the brusque side, we enjoyed the food immensely and will definitely return.
We ate here last night. There were 6 of us so restaurant preferred to serve us the banquet for $36.00 per head. Started with 3 dips and choice of crisp or soft flat bread, then stewed green beans, then 3 platters of meat and veg and grains. Finished off with really yummy desserts; baklava, fresh strawberries, 'hedgehog' and cream. Service was responsive. We asked to slow down the courses and they acted immediately. Seats were hard as ... more like planks than benches, but ... you can't have everything!
Out to dinner with a group of friends, with some special dietary requirements, including vegan. The alternatives that the waitress came up with to satisfy all the various requirements of our table were more than satisfactory, tasty and were delivered with grace and finesse. I was incredibly impressed with the way this was handled.

The food was really delcious. It's your typical Lebanese soul food. You literally feel like your at home, eating in cute little bowls and drinking in old school glasses. I would highly recommend this place however the staff weren't very friendly. I'm assuming because it was very busy.
This place is cozy, friendly and well priced. We wanted to try a different cuisine, so we dropped in. The food was great and the serves were generous. We'll be back when we're over this side of town again.
Needed a late night snack after flying into Melbourne. Walked to this little gem and for a very good price had tapas plates. Hit the spot!
