The Black Pearl - Table reservation

5 Stars all the way. From beginning to end we had a great experience. The food and service were both impeccable.We decided on these mini meatloaf bites for our amuse bouche. I thought it was interesting to see that on the menu at an upscale restaurant but it was phenomenal and a great introduction to our meal. We followed that up with the Escargot, I could've drank the sauce it was served in. For our entrees my husband ordered the Chilean sea bass and I ordered the filet. Both were super delicious.

Maybe Dunedin's top restaurant, the Black Pearl won't disappoint. The prices are on the higher side for the area, but the ducks come with a very tasty salad it is worth the splurge. It is a small place, so plan ahead and reserve. If you think about the lobster risotto, get the appetizers. It is very rich and the smaller part makes the trick. The Escargot also has a very rich sauce. The pig belly appetizer is excellent. The ducks and deserts were also great.

We had an excellent meal from start to finish. The service is impeccable. We had the lobster risotto, the pork belly, filet mignon, and rack of lamb. I have to say that their signature salad is the best salad that I have ever had. All perfection! Only sad that we were too full for dessert, but we will be back for sure.

Delicious food and exceptional service make this small place in Dunedin a perfect option for celebrations. It's a little expensive, but it's worth the money. Parking is usually not a problem with lots nearby. Just watch community events that you need to take additional time for the parking and get to the restaurant.
