My family and I met up with our son and grandchildren and needed a room for the night near Chester. We found the Egerton Arms and it was a fantastic choice! We arrived on Saturday evening around 8pm and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They were very attentive and took the time to chat with us. The room was excellent. Although we had already eaten, we could tell from the menu that the food options were great. There was a wonderful selection of wines and beers available. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic, cooked exactly as we requested. The young lady serving us was friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend the Egerton Arms and would stay there again. Hats off to the staf...
Visited whilst on holiday in the area with our children. We received a warm welcome the service was excellent. The atmosphere environment is relaxing and the drinks were good quality. Food came out in a reasonable time and was well made and tasty. We both had the steak pie and unfortunately it didn’t come with any gravy and the pie itself was a dry ish mix so this let it down a little otherwise I would have given a score of 5. I am northern so we do like our gravy! Desserts were delicious. Will definitely return when we are back in the area.
The old team back in place plus a good chef have brought the Egerton back. We enjoyed one of the best prepared and tastiest meals in our local restaurants for some time. A wide and varied menu , we were spoilt for choice. My monkfish was a tour de force, chipolata sausages tangy and sweet. Meatballs and lasagna followed, the ragu was rich and my meatballs were light and full of flavour. Well worth a visit.
I visited this restaurant for a mid-week lunch and was highly impressed. I was welcomed by a friendly and polite staff member. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. The food was delicious and was served promptly. All the staff members were fantastic and I will definitely be returning in the future.

We hadn't visited this restaurant in a while, but just like before, we had a fantastic lunch. The duck dish was delicious, as was the leg of lamb. Thank you for taking care of us. We will be back soon. MickH
