it seems a nice place and would seem that it is mainly designed for eating on the left side with a small dark bar to the right. we went for a drink, and a beer plus a koks came to £7.90 which I thought expensive, and there was only my missus and I in there. it looks a bit tired with red curtains that cover the windows and place away from the rail. the shrubs grow over the windows, so they could do with a cut, and a lighter color scheme would make a big difference. if I had a critique, it is that the herrentoilette is pretty dirty and it absolutely stinks there in the stalute urine. the many bleach blocks in the fall and the plug-in air refresher are not really sorting out the problem, and I...

It was recommended to us by a group of ladies who have been several times to celebrate birthdays. We opted for a Wednesday lunchtime, and we...were not disappointed. We took our time with pre drinks, and the manager and his team couldn't have been more charming and friendly. The main courses were half price, which was an unexpected surprise! Over several hours we all had 3 courses each, spread out at our own pace, and we were not hurried along at all by the staff. The food was excellent, and plentiful. on a Saturday night table for 7 pm booked no sign of booking when we arrived there) but we were found a table drinks, very efficient ordered and must say that workers in front of the house were excellent all evening. We then waited for over 30 minutes for our appetizers who were very tasty and then almost another hour for our main course, which were good again when they arrived. so short a delightful evening to appreciate it was a Saturday, but the wait between the curses were too exaggerated for our pleasure that we did not stay for sweetness or coffee almost 9.30 from this stage. are they trying again at a quiet evening?
For me customer service is sometimes just as important as the food. But tonight the customer service was excellent and so was all the food and drinks. Fair play to the 3 members of staff who made sure we had everything we wanted all night,...sung happy birthday, played music for the birthday girl, bought the cake out with candles and even chucked in a free cocktail. Since COVID I'd say it was the best service we've had so thank you again. The food was all spot on and piping hot fresh which we all thoroughly enjoyed. It was a really enjoyable birthday meal all round! Would definitely recommend. Thanks all!

Went for a meal with the wife having never eaten here before. The food was good the pork bites at the start were actually amazing! The mains were ok without being mind blowing, and the pudding chocolate bomb was average Few errors from the...staff, nachos had no guacamole which they advised had run out when we queried so they should have told us at ordering, and over charged for sides that never came out….but on the whole a good experience and a lovely atmosphere in there.
absolutely shocking! such a disappointment that we were all looking forward to a family birthday party, the food service was extremely slow, the adult got food served at a time and before the children! what is a certain no when eating finally... proved it was awful, some of the menu was not even available and that was around 17.30 clock! we will definitely not come back, how shameful as the place is very funky, but something has to sort there!
Birthday treat for my wife and this place didn’t disappoint it was excellent. Food and service was 1st class the welcoming was faultless made it very special. Lawrence was a star other places should come and see top class example on how to serve...well done. I will return and spread the news what a delightful experience Funky Bear Mere Green has created.
9 girlfriends went for Bottomless Brunch at the Funky Bear on Saturday. The customer service prior to attending was excellent from Lottie and the service on the day from Archie, Kian, Stuart and Loz was amazing. Will definitely be returning,
