"I usually eat here for the afternoon tea from 2-5 o'clock. The food is relatively cheap and the style of food is very similar to which you will find in HK cafes. With immediate noodles, French toast, rice rolls, etc. accompanied with a free drink of red milk or milk tea. My friend was rejected a free drink. Hahahaha."

I was in Hurstville stuck and consulted my good friend Zomato for a recommendation. TREACY ST is full of places with many reasonable reviews, so I took a stitch in the darkness and went to the next I could find. Grief Grief I like the name "good food". They do not say "great" or "excellent," only good. That leaves the possibility of a bad cuisine somewhere. Grief Grief Anyway, it has to be said that the service reversed, but was disinterested, and orders were made. The lady ordered something disgusting-sounding mushroom and tofu nonsense, while I went the crushed duck and combination noodles. I say "disgusting", mainly because I despise mushrooms. Grief Grief My meal, natural and ironically,...

I went to the good kitchen last night with a few friends to seek a nice Chinese food. We all ordered a hot pot. They had the pork and bean quark (13.80), which looked like a gelatine chaos, she did not eat much of it. They had the fried bean quark and seafood, which looked good (19.80). I had the vermicelli noodles and vegetables ($ 14.80), which came in a broth. It was nice, but hard to miss, aroma. Grief All in all a good meal, but I would not return, and if I did it, maybe I would go with more people and order a few steppoints instead, as they are likely to be tasted.

So Good kitchen is really the only other HK cafe contender in Hurstville. I have probably been here a few times but to be honest, i don't come here often. The food here is exactly what you expect from a HK cafe. The quality of food however, is quite average. I find the food to be marginally better at Sun Ming.  The chef seems to be the same during the week making it quite consistent. The service and value is quite good too which makes it a good option from time to time.
