Get ready to take a trip back to the 1920s when you enter the Grounds of the City. The brand spanking new restaurant is centred around the 20s era and even though it's all new it feels as though it's been there the whole time. It's a true testament to the craftsmanship and care the team have put into this new social hub. The whole idea of the Grounds of the City is to make it a social gathering place where people meet up and actually chat, not just text and Instagram (although this place is SUPER Instagramable). It's like stepping into a whole other world, it's cosy and bustling with customers and staff dressed in old school attire. The lighting is dim and it truly feels like you're in the 2...

Rudest "waitress" told the customer to wait 1.5 hours + for a table. It was on a Friday 11 o'clock in the morning and there was empty tables ... No one was granted with a previous reservation. When did I ask for a long wait? She was patronized that you have to say, just have to wait and see that you can take away from our other counter. (In other words, the staff do not know their products or how to sell or gave to wait) Other customers asked how early they have to arrive, and she continued to arrive, just to say that they only have to come earlier. The worst customer service! Do not deserve a rating, but to publish this review, I have to give the slightest.
we went to breakfast, were abused to move to another table when there were no obvious reservations. our food ordered then minutes later our order for the wrong table waited for minutes after our order on an omelette, stood up and said we go. then was given sass, because we had only been there for minutes and that was reasonable time to wait for an omelette only after I had asked this time, she offered the coffee for free. I would even accept this service more if the food reasonably priced. I would never recommend this place to everyone; overpriced, not amazing quality and terrible service. Book a table now
What a surprise that the well-known "reasons of the Alexandria brand" opened two days ago, right in the heart of Sydney. Grief The interior of the café transports them back to the old glory days of the 1920s. The decor and the lighting is perfectly offered as fine food, coffee and cake. Grief The staff are all very professional and make your visit a pleasure. Thanks to Hannah and Dylan for their attention to detail and our visit so special. Grief It's so good that Sydney has a new coffee and tea place like this is right in the heart of the city. It's a winner !!!
On a weekday arrived on a weekday, waiting for a table for 45 minutes ... good. Coffee and pastries taken. The coffee was very average, which is disappointing as it is very good in the founding of Alexandria. The pastry was very good ... fresh and delicious.
Nice cafe in the heart of Sydney CBD. The food differs on the property in Alexandria, but just as well. Loved the sensitive cakes that you offer.
Got the Buttermilk pancakes for breaky for $142 pancakes with poached rhubarb, lemon ricotta, organic honeycomb and bee pollen. Book a table now

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
