Eating at The Ram can be a bit hit or miss. The restaurant has a cool and understated decor in a charming old building, creating a decent atmosphere for a Friday night during the pandemic. The food is imaginative and well-prepared, and not overly expensive. However, the service is lacking. The staff are friendly but inattentive, forgetting to provide enough plates and cutlery for the diners and causing delays that made the food cold. Some items were missing from the menu, such as cheese polenta and coffee, and there were no knives or plates provided with the cheese board. I had an amazing paella with chicken and chorizo and great tasting wine. Their selection of quality wines is really great and surely will please most, especially since most of the wines are served by the glass as well. Tapas dishes are also great for sharing with friends!
Amazing food! I was staying near by at the Suffolk Escape and came to eat here twice on my holiday. Shows you how amazing the food is! They offer lots of little bits of dishes for you to share and eat, I highly recommend the seafood board.
Even though we're in strange times we received a warm welcome and staff tried to make everything as normal as possible. Excellent food and good range of wines. Eventually we went for paela and a bottle of rioja, all was excellent.

This local gastro pub is perfect. The service is top-notch, provided by a young and professional staff. The tapas-style food is excellent, and the atmosphere is delightful. What else could you ask for?

Went there for a quiet drink with a few friends, the atmosphere was great and service was good! The only thing that would make it better would be more ales on tap
