we had only one family dinner for 12 in hiding and have to write this review. the service was excellent and very friendly owners and coworkers who went out of the way to make sure we had a nice evening. we waited no time to serve the starter meal and the sweets at all, and we were all served with each dish at the same time and all our meals were pierced hot and no matter who the appetizers the main meal and the sweet were all beautifully presented and delicious and the portions were huge. we can recommend to hide this to anyone who is looking for a nice meal and nice friendly owners and employees. well done that we will be back.
we love this place. we always use this restaurant for family dinner when there are special occasions. the food is fantastic and the owner is a true gent, each close to the opposite or reasonable, the fancies a fantastic home cooked meal with the best cheesecake dessert then this is her place! hopefully be back soon
it is so scandalous that it is now closed. the fish and chips were great, like all the other meal times I tried, and the cheesecake was excellent and delicious. the personal was so friendly and really made her feel like home. the best chips that all have made home. the pantry and the kitchen
I went for lunch today and had an absolutely fantastic experience with both the food and service. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, this restaurant has been serving great meals since 1979. It's definitely not like any other place I've been to. Highly recommend it.

I hadn't seen my aunt from Devon in years, so I decided to surprise her by taking her out to eat at this restaurant. She's 83 years old, and it was a nice way to reconnect with her after all this time.
We had a delightful lunch stop on our way to Stonehaven Dunnottar Castle. My wife declared it her favorite restaurant from all our travels in Edinburgh. The food was delicious and satisfying.
