Although the food is great it is a disappointment of how service has declined at this restaurant. I don’t live around the area and coming out to Red Onion was considered a treat. I tried to introduce this spot to a friend in efforts to continue to support the local businesses but service was entirely awful. The closing staff on January 11, 2023, specifically the young lady waitress, was not happy to serve our table. She was absolutely unapologetically rude. We walked in and sat ourselves at a table. I got a large chili cheese fries. I was totally unaware that it was so much. I got a small shake with it and it cost me $29.40 without tip. The fries were mushy and the chili cheese was pretty much tasteless. I would highly recommend to stay away from it. The shake was good but I ordered blueberry and got vanilla.Should have got a burger like I wanted to do in the first place. Not sure that would be good either.
I grew up in Omaha. I have a point. That is where the Ruben Sandwich was born. I moved away over 40 years ago and I have had mixed results finding a good Ruben Sandwich until I ordered one at the Red Onion. It was perfect. We will be going here more and more. Great food and friendly service.
Great place for breakfast and lunch. Big omelets and breakfast platters on the menu. The burgers are excellent here. Bundle the fries and onions rings to share. The portions are large here. The prices are very decent. Try it! ALOHA!
