I made a reservation for a table of 7 for Saturday. The dinner was for my daughter’s birthday. We showed up at 6:50pm and our reservation was for 7pm. We waited until 7:30pm and we still were not seated and when we asked how much longer they stated that they weren’t sure. In my experience when you make a reservation this means that you are guaranteed a seat and should be taken care of fairly quickly. My daughter was upset so we chose to leave and go elsewhere.
The food was good. I have to give them that. The atmosphere was lacking. The restaurant seemed to be having problems with their electricity causing the lights to majorly flicker the entire time I was there. The staff was generally uninterested. Iordered a beer and got it in a bottle without a glass. Everything in the restaurant came across as dingy and vaguely sticky. Idon't expect I'll be back in spite of the good food.
I specifically chose this restaurant for an exciting birthday celebration with traditional drumming. Unfortunately, the manager seemed to be busy, so our server sang happy birthday solo (which she did well) without any drums. That was definitely a disappointment. The rice and vegetables were tasty, but the meat was tough. On a positive note, our server was excellent and made sure our drinks were always full.
The egg fried rice with vegetables and chicken was delicious, and the portion sizes are quite generous—most people will find it hard to finish. This does help justify the cost of the hibachi grill tables, but it still came to $90 for three fixed hibachi orders, which already included the tip. Excellent, authentic Japanese sushi with some interesting house rolls. If you like it a little spicy, try the Firecracker roll. Beware the wasabi ? they use the real Japanese stuff, not the bland, diluted ?wasabi? you get in most American sushi places.Breathe carefully and enjoy! If I lived anywhere nearby, I would visit frequently.
Excellent flavor. I absolutely love the food here and the show they put on at the hibachi. The cooks there do an excellent job also. However, the issue I have is with the waitressing staff. Its as if the only reason they are even there is to just take your order. They rarely check up with you or come refill your drinks.
I rated this restaurant 3 stars because the firecracker roll exceeded my expectations—it was delicious. However, the house salad consisted of large pieces of iceberg lettuce drenched in dressing. While the server was friendly, they were not very prompt or attentive.
My salmon was undercooked. The total bill for three people was $81. They add a mandatory 20% fee for seating in the grill area, labeled as a gratuity on the bill, but it's not optional. We won't be returning, as there are other restaurants with better food. Book a table now
It's a disgrace, we had a reservation and it took an hour to be seated. It took another 30 minutes to just order drinks and the manager didn't have the stones to even come out and give any information. If I could give 0 stars I would!
