I was so excited when I learned they had a location in Mount Dora. I visited there location in Cedar Key while on vacation years ago and I still tell EVERYONE about their clam chowder. It's the best I've ever had. I went to their Mount Dora location today and it did not disappoint. We both had their 3 time World Champion recipe clam chowder to start. Then we had the fried seafood Po-Boy. Everything was amazing!!!! The restaurant was decorated with all things old which was super cool.
My wife and I took a day trip to Mount Dora for some walking, shopping, and lunch, and we discovered this gem on Yelp. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic. The chowder was delicious, and my wife enjoyed the salmon while I had the fish sandwich—both were superb and generously portioned. The beer was served ice cold, and the interior had a cool seafaring decor. They also offer outdoor seating. Overall, it's a great little establishment!
The atmosphere was filled with seaside decor, which was really nice. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and very courteous. The clam chowder was delicious; definitely treat yourself to a cup. My wife had the salmon, and I opted for the fried fish sandwich—both were outstanding. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience.
The best meal we've ever had in Mt Dora. Grilled shrimp on skewer with fried okra, famous chowder, and chicken tenders were all delicious. Warm welcome, friendly service and great food. Well be back! Great seafood restaurant. I loved that is a local restaurant, with history and unique ambiance. Servers know about the meals and give recommendations if you need. My plate was great, good portion. The server could have been friendlier. For my dining experience, I had lunch, and the cost per person was around $20–30. The food was great, earning a solid 4 out of 5. However, the service only received a 2, while the atmosphere was quite pleasant, also rated a 4.
Growing up in Florida, I visited there cedar key location multiple times. First time eating g at this one. Food was great. Chowder was excellent as always with fresh local clams. My wife got a lobster roll and it seemed to rival what we had in the New England area.

The food and service were fantastic. The Po Boy had a crispy texture with tender shrimp and fresh bread. The outdoor seating is pet-friendly, which is a nice bonus. The chowder was delicious and creamy.
