For Christmas, we ordered Lumpiang Shanghai, which is one of our favorite appetizers. However, one of our guests took a bite and said the meat inside wasn't fully cooked and tasted off. To be safe, I decided to bake it, but unfortunately, it still tasted terrible. The ground meat used was not fresh and seemed spoiled. Three of our guests ended up feeling ill, with one experiencing diarrhea. It seems like they were rushing the orders, leading to the meat being left out too long, and they still used it. While this restaurant might be acceptable for everyday meals, I wouldn't recommend it for large holiday orders.
We stopped here on our way out of the city, and it exceeded our expectations. We're used to eating Filipino food regularly in Queens, but this place really impressed us. We ordered two lunch combos with rice, trying the longganisa, beef steak, pork adobo, lechon, and spicy pork. We also sampled the cabbage soup, which was fantastic. Our favorite dish was the pork adobo. The service was excellent, and the portions were generous enough for my wife and me to enjoy a full dinner later. To cap off our meal, we had halo halo, and we savored every bite.
The food here is fantastic! If you're hungry and in the mood for Filipino cuisine (like adobo, lechon kawali, and bicol express), this is the place to go! They serve genuine Filipino dishes prepared by skilled Filipino chefs. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I regret not getting to try their boneless lechon belly, but I’ll definitely make it a point to try it on my next visit!
My family and I order catering from this place at least once a year for parties and holidays. The food is fantastic, the portions are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. This is the best spot for Filipino food in Rockland! They offer a fantastic menu with a variety of dishes. The Chicken Curry and Beef Steak come highly recommended, along with their Lumpia Shanghai. They also have a great selection of grocery items.
