We stayed at the hotel and dined at the restaurant twice. The service was consistently excellent and the restaurant was quite peaceful as it was not peak season, which was perfect for us as we prefer to avoid the hectic school holiday crowds. We ordered the hake and pork burger and were very pleased with the taste. Their house beer was delicious and the cocktails were also enjoyable, although they didn't last long! The staff were fantastic and accommodated our gluten-free dietary requirements without any issues. Although not the most budget-friendly option, we were not disappointed with the quality of the food. We would definitely consider returning in the future.
My friends and I visited this restaurant on the last day of our couples holiday and were disappointed with our experience. While the food overall was delicious, my friend's pizza had to be sent back because the base was burnt and tasted like charcoal. The waitress replaced the pizza, but by then the rest of us had finished eating. We were surprised to see that the pizza was not discounted or taken off the bill, considering the high prices at the restaurant. Additionally, when we checked the bill later, we realized that we had been overcharged by £6.25. Overall, it was a disappointing way to end our holiday.
This Restaurant is very clean tidy and welcoming. Good selection of Drinks, the UNA Kor draught Lager is very nice. Reasonably comprehensive menu, speciality being the Pizza's in the special Oven. I had the steak which was slightly over salted, but still eddible and tasty. My wife hd Hake that she really like. Children had a Faultless Pizza Chicken Burger. Special Mention, the service and staff were outstanding. One minor Downside, they only take Card Payments as they are of the many increasing Cashless locations.
Disappointing dinner. We stayed for two night in August and loved the room and the facilities. When we saw the massive pizza oven in the kitchen I was very excited to eat. The whole meal was just flat unfortunately, the starters and vegetables we had as a side dish were bland and under seasoned. The pizza itself was not cooked for long enough, the tomato sauce was watery and the cheese tasted cheap. Service was ok but we waited long periods between plates going and for the bill etc.

After a bit of trouble finding it don’t use the postcode) we had dinner. The staff were friendly and efficient but the reviews and ratings in our view are over generous. We had an ok and very average meal. We had pizza slightly soft in the middle and a chicken schnitzel. The schnitzel was on top of potatoes which made the base go soggy. It was ok but average at best. No atmosphere it was like a canteen. The staff were great and obliging but not worth a repeat visit.
Only two of us ate here and we all had drinks. We didn't find the menu inspiring and ordered welsh rarebit. One slice of toast and plenty of cheese on £10, I find that expensive for what it was. Drinks were the most expensive we experienced in Cornwall and a 10% service charge we were not advised about. Whilst we have no objection to a SC this was the only place we weren't prewarned. We didn't revisit.
We went to the restaurant for Sunday lunch and returned the next day for an early morning family swim and breakfast deal. Even with the rainy weather, we all had a wonderful time. The live music on Sunday was a fantastic bonus!
I went with my parents, we all ordered steak and chip, 1 Medium and 2 med/rare. My medium-rare was was more rare. Nothing was piping hot when it came out and we were the only ones there. Other med/rare was good. No consistancy

Friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere so friendly to us and our dog. Helpfully moved us to a table away from the main walkway so the dog could sit quietly. Food and wine were excellent.
Beautiful setting. Fab atmosphere. Fantastic food. Great service. What a gem ! I had the hake and it was delicious. Not a chip in sight.
