Linz, an out of the way small city on the Rhine. Beautiful old half-timbered buildings and a Markets-square that rivals much bigger cities. That's where we found Valentino's. Outside dining for lunch or a well appointed interior for inclement weather. Staff was attentive (but not overly so) and professional. Authentic Italian style meals. Some of the best I've had outside of Italy. My husband had meat lasagna and I had cannelloni with cheese/spinach filling in a creamy tomato sauce. Portions were "right-sized". If a meal wasn't enough or if you just wanted a coffee break the ice cream selections were fabulous! The Amarreno Cherry Bescher was served in a tall soda glass with lots of cherries...
