Visited this evening with some work colleagues. We were unsure on where to go as we are not from Leicester, we decided to go for Italian and came across this restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and casual. Our waitress Lene was very friendly. She was very busy serving other tables, but she was very attentive and apologetic. The food arrived quickly and it was delicious too. The venue has a lot of choice of food and drinks. If I am in Leicester again soon, I would not hesitate to return
We had a lovely meal, we were sat next to the open kitchen and it actually turned out to be lovely. Staff advised us to try a lovely red wine. The chef was super friendly and as they had sold out of the pistachio tiramisu made one with a special pistachio paste, he even advised us where to visit on our next holiday too!! Food was incredible and very authentic. Highly recommended. Great staff, food and atmosphere.
I don't get how the reviews are so good. Had the Rossi experience and it was awful. 2 type of meat and some olives and then so much bread. I questioned the food and they said they had forgotten the cheese and then proceeded to bring out cubes of parmesan!! It was awful. I would say avoid this particular experience because it's not value for money unless you like bread!
The staff at Veeno (especially Vanesa) are true experts in their craft, and their passion for all things Italian is infectious. They greeted me with genuine smiles and were more than happy to help me navigate through their extensive selection of wines and delectable snacks.
