A wonderful local tavern with a small garden, they were just closed, but we were still allowed to order food and wine, and what delicious food ! Ham plate, various cheeses, quiche and salad. We got the house red wine, and it turned out to be a wonderful Ch. Larrieu-Terrefort from Margaux. The dessert consisted of several small glasses of sweets and espresso. We did not ask for the prices and they had no menu, they served what they had. Food and drink cost about 40 euros for two. The place is a little gem that is highly recommended !.
We were in the mood for a very simple, no frills lunch. This was the perfect place. They had 2 choices. We had a lovely plate of homemade quiche, salad, cheese and charcuterie. The food was simple but delicious. We had a glass of house Margaux wine which was also wonderful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a simple, inexpensive but delicious food.
Caught between visits between wineries we needed a quick bite and we're fortunate to be directed to this cute place of a side road in the middle of Margeaux. It was just what we needed. Quick service, simple menu and wine list and we really enjoyed ourselves. We highly recommend it.
