As pub food goes this was not the best nor the worst. We ordered the grilled barramundi served with hand cut fries, small salad and their own salsa verde. My wife had the Angus steak (medium rare) served with the same accompaniment as the fish except for the sauce (she chose mushroom)The barramundi was cooked well but that was the highlight. The fries were rather soggy, not awful but certainly not crispy and the salad was there but didn't do anything for the dish. The salsa verde the same nothing to write home about. The steak was medium rare but lacked in flavour, was sort of stringy and dry. The people at the counter where you place the orders, were friendly and effective. Service was quick...

On the whole, not a bad venue for food and drinks. The atmosphere is trendy/nice - probably the best pub in Zetland. There's a dog friendly patio outside, and plenty of seating inside (though weekend evenings are pretty busy and it can sometimes be hard to find a seat). My food experiences have been bit mixed. The food is a little on the expensive side, and as such I would expect a slightly more consistent quality. At times the food I've ordered has come out cold, or ages after my companions' food arrived. People generally rave about the schnitzel, which is quite large. The veggie burger is decent, but not amazing.Drinks, too, are a little on the expensive side (about $7 for a beer). In my v...
We went there for dinner tonight and as we live near by we have been to this pub a fair few times. As always the food is ok, but could be a lot better. The steak is always a bit dry and tasteless and for the money it should be better, the salad is not doing much on the plate but it is there and the Chips while advertised as hand cut (they probably are) are hit and miss, sometimes burnt to a crisp sometimes soggy and then sometimes great. I've tried other things on the menu eg chicken parmigiana, pastas and Sunday Roasts and it's sometimes great sometimes average. Staff are always friendly and helpful and they do great cocktail specials so all in all they just need to be a bit more consistent...
Popped out for food and a few drinks.Happy hour when we arrived for prossecco and beer both for $10, later on the happy hour changes to $10 cocktails! Ordered the special of veg lasagna and hubby had the pot pie. Both were so good. Although his mash pot serving was as big as the side sauce of horseradish! Way too small for the size of the pie. Shame we are moving house as would have used this as our regular pub! Recommended this place to, friends in the area though and even revisited two days later with one of them but I only had the beer and bowl of chips... they were lovely too They had the pasta dish which he said was nice and hubby had the chicken parmy which was very good. Atmosphere is so friendly and inviting here. Living close by allows us to visit often. Even if it's for a drink or a quick bite to eat, you won't be disappointed. Their food from the chicken wings to the pizzas to the schnitzel are all so yummy. Cocktails are a must try. Seating outside as well, so your fury babies can join you. Can get very busy after work hours, everyone who works nearby enjoys the comfort of a cold drink after work.
Ate here a couple of times whilst visiting. All the food was delicious and very well priced. Even got to experience tranny bingo one night, very entertaining. Kids were welcome and there was a good kids menu. Good range of cocktails too!
I stopped by here for a chicken salad for dinner and it was really delicious. The service staff were helpful and the place had a good atmosphere. I only gave 4 stars because it was a bit expensive and there were no forks at my table
They have a decent lunch special, with burgers being $10. I opted for a cheeseburger, and for $5 added on a second patty. The burger looked promising but Book a table now
I LOVED the Village Crow - but ever since the change of name to the Village Crown there has been a noticeable decline in food and service.

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
