A hidden gem amongst the terraced and detached homes in Annandale. What a find! We stumbled across this beaut little wine bar / restaurant and decided to try it. We sat at the window seat looking out towards the grape vines and Johnson St. We were comfortable. Well, sharing plates are colourful and delicious. Perfecto eye candy for foodies. The portions are generous but not excessive. A perfect balance. The wine list magnificent. We sampled a new addition to the cellar, modeste, a French similar to a pinot noir, gosh it was nice. We can't wait to buy a few bottles from Glebe cellars.Our 15 year old son, was catered for very well even without a children's menu. He eat chicken schnitzel... all...
$20 each glass of wine !$35 for a main meal that consisted of two stirrups of frazzled duck or maybe it was local stray cat ! It is Annandale after all ! $15 for one dollop of mousse on an enormous plate and one burnt orange slice covered in thin glaze - sorbet tasted like someone had peed and frozen it! $132 ! for a very poor value meal indeed. There was the view of the median strip so I can't complain ! At least we were left alone by table service ! Not enough on the plate to get salmonella ! Great selection of food and wine, combined with fantastic ambiance. Great and modern fit out with cool music playing really gets you ok the mood for some wine. Joe, the owner, goes to great effort to ensure that everything on the menu is of exceptional standard. There's a great selection of wine, which can be ordered by the glass or by the bottle, both Australian and International.In terms of food, there's menu items that go with just drinks as well as full dining options also. This is just such a cool wine bar, with such a great vibe. This is definitely one venue that needs to be checked out.
Excellent from the moment we walked in.Service is exceptional. The host Joe and his waitstaff complement the warmth and welcoming vibe of the establishment.Food and drinks are amazing. The menu constantly changes, never leaving regulars bored.Atmosphere is perfect to have a casual get together and the ambience is perfect.My clients and i frequently go there for a share plate or the full works formal dinner, caters for all our needs.

Joseph and the team at Vinery Foods always over-deliver. Great seasonal menu with fresh and inventive plates for reasonable prices, and an immense wine list with something to please everyone (and wines always expertly paired with the food). The ability to walk in for a glass of wine, and/or snack, or a full meal is an added, flexible bonus. Annandale is all the more richer for this offering!
Great choice of food to share or individual serves. We had a few different meals and shared them. They were all delicious, really flavoursome. The wine choice is just phenomenal and the staff know their wines! The owner is passionate about the total experience and I have had two great times there; one at lunch and one for dinner.
Really lovely friendly but expert service, great food and wine selection. This is a great asset to Johnson Street, Annandale. It was quiet when we visited for drinks and food on Thursday night around 5:30 but the service and recommendations were excellent. Annandale residents, you should support this bar and restaurant!
Ordered a glass of fizzy which was flat. had a few sips to confirm then advised waiter. He said he would come back in a few minutes. 5 minutes later he offerred a smaller glass as replacement. Would have expected a full glass and apology. No apology was given. poor service and poor wine. Decided not to eat there.

One of the best places for a fine dining experience in Sydney. Perfect matching of food and wine. I have never looked at the menu or the wine list. Joe is the perfect host and completes the experience.
