My aunt used to visit this place regularly with her boyfriend and always had a great time. I went there today and had a wonderful experience myself. The restaurant is spacious, and since I went in the afternoon, it was quite empty, with only about 15 people there. I ordered a meal, and the food was delicious. The waitress was very friendly, and the drinks were generously sized and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed, providing a quiet getaway, and there's also a nice patio area. It's a lovely spot! I recall it being quite lively in the past, but I'm not sure how it is now. Since I’m not particularly into the bar scene, I really appreciated the laid-back vibe during my visit...

I’ve been a fairly regular takeout customer here for some time. On their best days, the food is excellent. However, during my latest order, the onion rings and potato skins were noticeably overcooked. The garden salad had too much yellowing and browning iceberg lettuce, with insufficient fresh green leaf lettuce. The front-of-house staff is fantastic—special thanks to Holly, who is friendly and attentive to detail. That said, management should exercise stricter oversight of the kitchen and suppliers to maintain consistent high quality, which I know is possible because I’ve experienced it before.

The corn beef special on Thursday is a rip-off. It was dry and salty. Everything was an extra to make it a Reuben including the thousand island dressing. Plus the sandwich was small and cold. Cheese wasn't even melted. Stick to the Italian sub special on Wednesday. Best deal they have. It cost me 25.00 for the corned beef/Reuben special 1 large draft and 20% gratuity. That's an expensive lunch for a blue collar worker.

Whistle Stop Tavern has a comfortable, homey vibe, though the decor feels a bit outdated. The staff are warm, attentive, and inviting. The menu offers classic American bar favorites, and both my son and I enjoyed our meals with some leftovers to take home. Prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. Overall, a great spot that I highly recommend. Book a table now

Delicious food! I dropped by for lunch without high expectations but was happily surprised. The interior is very clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

The staff is friendly, though the service can be a bit slow because of limited staff. Nevertheless, the food was outstanding!
