Great, non-chain, Japanese steak house. The best hand rolled sushi in southern Illinois. The owner is the manager, head chef, and rolls all the sushi right at the front counter. Her children make up all of the rest of the staff. Great great food and atmosphere that remains remarkable and adorable. Vegetarian options: There are vegetable only dishes and rolls. My wife and I each ordered the Fillet Mignon meal. We both agreed the steak was very chewy and tough. The flavor was good but you can't convince me that was fillet mignon. I highly recommend trying the Teriyaki Chicken, Bento Box, Crazy Spider Roll, Lobster Rangoon, Garden Salad, and Dynamite Roll. Each dish was delicious and flavorful, and I cannot wait to go back and try more items on the menu. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations and I would definitely dine here again.
Attention all vegetarians! You must visit this restaurant! They offer a variety of vegetarian sushi rolls along with delicious side dishes and appetizers. Don't forget to try the large bowl of Miso soup. On average, you can expect to spend around $15 per person as a vegetarian, but it is definitely worth it!
