This is my go to place when I have a night out with friends. However, my experience saturday (10/5) was absolutely ridiculous. We saw that it was fairly busy, so we remained patient when it took a while for our table to be approached. We ordered water, soup for our app and an entree. Usually we will get our drinks in a decent amount of time as well as the soup, (entree wait is always long) but we figured we may have to wait a bit longer for the food. We only ordered WATER for our drinks. We tried to be understanding and waited and ended up waiting for 36 minutes and still did not receive a cup of water or any acknowledgment while we were waiting for our food. Having ordered here many times, their spice level has a wide range. In my last order, the cook mixed up two dishes, a spice level 1 and a spice level 5. Oops. It made for a rapid exchange and interesting conversation. Still, their yellow curry is very good. I had lunch there last Friday and was overcharged by almost double what my meal was and can't get anyone to return my call regarding the situation. My meal was around $13 and they charged my card $27. Even with tip, it was nowhere near this amount. I do not live there so stopping back in is not an option. Thai Taste has some amazing food. I have not had a bad dish yet. Everything tastes wonderful. They are always busy day and evening. Would recommend checking them out. The food was amazing, and the server was super friendly! The atmosphere was lovely. I had the fresh spring rolls and the pineapple fried rice. I'll definitely stop here again when I come back to Carbondale.
