Just moved to Carbondale from Minnesota and heard wonderful things about Thai Taste so my partner and I ordered take out (Pad Thai, Pad See-Ewe, and sticky rice) to bring back to the apartment while we unpack. We ordered a bit later in the night (6:50pmish) and our Pad See-Ewe was astoundingly salty (I could only eat a couple bites) and the sticky rice was dry/hard. My partnerand I did enjoy the Pad Thai but agreed it could use more flavor. We will probably try dinning in to see if the experience isany different but will most likely not try the take out again.
dreadful eating. I made the mistake to order. I didn't know it was possible to make sticky rice so bad. it was literally just a denser, warmer stone of coarse. the eier roles were empty and burned. when I contacted Thai taste, they said that tears are getting hard and disgusting when it is removed from the rice steamer. I have done enough tears and ordered to know that this is not true. actually some of the insincere customer service. I seriously regret that I have ordered food from this restaurant and will do it again.
Having ordered here many times, their spice level has a wide range. In my last order, the cook mixed up two dishes, a spice level 1 and a spice level 5. Oops. It made for a rapid exchange and interesting conversation. Still, their yellow curry is very good. Thai Taste has some amazing food. I have not had a bad dish yet. Everything tastes wonderful. They are always busy day and evening. Would recommend checking them out. The food was amazing, and the server was super friendly! The atmosphere was lovely. I had the fresh spring rolls and the pineapple fried rice. I'll definitely stop here again when I come back to Carbondale. I eat there as often as I can. The food is great and you can choose you level of spiciness. The service can be a little lacking, however, the waitress I always had issues with hasn't been there the last several times I was. Hopefully she's moved on to a new career.
eating is consistently delicious. it is a popular place for all reasons they expect. leave them when they are busy! we've been coming here for decades and haven't regretted that.
Me and my boyfriend eat here at least six times a month. The spicy chicken fried rice is amazing and the spring rolls are the best. We love it. Our favorite place by far
