The food here is good but the staff are extremely noisy. The customers all around are quiet and the staff keep talking loudly so you feel like you are in a fish market. Don't get me wrong - the staff are very very nice and friendly and don't seem to realize that they are talking loudly.. We came here because my boyfriend remembered their Manchurian chicken being really good and he wanted to have it again (many years later). There were used napkins at the booth we were sitting in, which already kind of grossed us out. Not only was the Manchurian chicken not what he remembered, the other dishes that we ordered weren't good either. Everything was bland and didn't have much flavour. I think out of what we ordered, the best thing was the corn soup (not sure if that's saying much). If you want Chinese food, go to Congee Queen and if you want Hakka go to Federick's. Don't waste your money here, it's not worth it.

Chili Chicken in Mississauga and Hakka Legend in Scarborough are way better than this downtown Haka restaurant. Large dining area.Service is very good but the food quality does not match up to some of other great Haka food restaurants in the GTA.Chili fish was bad; chili chicken , their signature dish just about makes the mark.Prices are too high for the quality/ taste of the food ; you actually pay extra for rice with any main menu dish- very unusual for similar outlets.
Great food but if you speak English and need any modifications give up now as you will not get what you ordered.In-restaurant is fine but phone orders are challenged by a lack of desire and language skills. Had to call back twice after being hung up on both times and they still did not get my order correct. Upon discovering this at pickup their proposed solution only made the problem worse. Well meaning staff but to busy to care about customer service rather than profit.
Food is SO good, service is amazing - all the waiters are really funny and seem very happy to work there. My favourite dishes are the green beans (szechuan style), crispy beef, chicken pakora and shrimp pakora. Their hot sauce is super addicting (but super salty). I've even asked them where they buy their hot sauce but it's only available for wholesale in large tubs :(The food is also affordable too! A group of 10 can eat for under $20 per person!
Best Chinese Food downtown Toronto! I've been coming here for 28 years when they were initially across the street. Excellent and tasty meals each time. They are great with accommodating any special food requests for my family and I. Great service too and the food is always served quickly. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Very disappointing. We were looking forward to our favourite Chili Chicken, but it was somewhat bland, and maybe 1 out of 10 on the spicy scale. Good friendly service.
