Beware my fellow RV Campers We book a reservation in Jan 2023 a long with some other friends and family from different part of the USA for a family reunion in beginning of July 2023. Zephyr Cove took our reservation and a deposit. Gave a confirmation number. Three days before we were to arrive, they called to cancel my reservation via voicemail. Reason, Zephyr Cove overbooked???? Unbelievable, and unacceptable. I called them. Sat on hold for over 30 mins. Finally someone answered. I tried to explain about the family reunion, and that I was the only one out of our group to be canceled. All they could say was sorry for the inconvenience , over and over. We have visited this resort four times, staying in cabins three times and in an RV once, and each time we have had a great experience. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and the location is fantastic with beautiful views of the lakes and a lovely beach. However, on our most recent visit, we were disappointed with the service. Our cabin's fireplace was not working and despite informing reception multiple times, no one came to fix it. Besides this issue, we had no other complaints. I have nothing positive to say about this restaurant. The signage, entrance, and check-in process are all disorganized. The resort is located on one side of Highway 50, and the campground is on the opposite side. The line of campers for check-in extended onto the highway, and guests are required to walk back and forth across the busy road. The staff, especially Al, seemed indifferent to suggestions and negative feedback. If you enjoy crowded sites with heavy noise from traffic and lots of trees to navigate around your camper, while being in close quarters with your neighbors, then this is the place for you. Zephyr Cove at Lake Tahoe is a stunning and enjoyable place to soak up the sun. It is a relaxing destination to unwind and have a peaceful time. I am grateful for the beautiful surroundings and give high praise to the Great Spirit in the Sky. Whether I win, lose, or draw, I am fully devoted to serving my Father in Heaven. Best French Dip Sandwich I can ever remember having along with a very good potato salad. Very cool ambience and waiter, lake view, relaxed atmosphere. Live here but it's been since before the Pandemic I've been in...food and all as good as it ever was.!
