Cute little cafe in Rhodes, the interior design was really modern and pretty, kind of reminded me of those cafes in Korea. The menu isn't that vast but the price was really moderate compared to other cafes in the area. You order and pay at the counter and the staff here are very friendly. There aren't a lot of tables in the cafe with one really big table at the back. I ordered the Big Breakfast and Cappuccino and my friend ordered the Steak Sandwich and a taro latte. She really loved the taro latte and the baked beans with mushrooms and sausage in the little pot was really good. The flavours all worked together really nicely. Would come back again and I recommend this place :

Cafe culture is finally slowly rolling out in the northern Sydney suburbs and 1606 Luis de Torres, a stone’s throw from Rhodes train station, is a minimalist and modern addition to the scene. Named after the Portuguese sailors who first explored Australia, the cafe is high-ceilinged and vaguely nautical-themed, but mostly a study in open spaces and simple design, edged throughout with light wooden accents. The interior was designed by a Korean designer and features some really nice artworks and mugs behind the counter, though they’re sadly not for sale yet.
A small but nicely decorated cafe. Given the light, bright floral setting I thought the cafe wwould specialise in coffee cakes/sweet, but surprisingly our lunch was delicious. My steak sandwich was served on paninis which was fluffy inside crisp on the outside. The meat was tender juicy. The accompanying shoestring fries were crunchy very moorish. I managed to devour the whole thing plus the fries. My friend had the Bulgogi beef burger also really enjoyed it.
I always pass by 1606 Louis De Torres, but only once I have actually visited this place. I feel that the drinks over here are over priced for no reason. The fancy lemon-ade was just a show, it was like another juice and it costed me $7 for the presentation. I believe cafes should price their products according to the quantity they serve or even the best of dishes feel overpriced Book a table now
I visited this restaurant on a Sunday for brunch with my partner, and my first impression was how charming and vibrant the atmosphere was. It was quite windy that day, and the owner graciously accommodated us at a small table inside. The steak sandwich was absolutely fantastic! However, the typical big breakfast was just average.
I am a big bludger but always visit to this cafe on the way to work, the coffee is legit! always on time, taste great and saves my day! The prices seem to be a bit pricey for some yet i guess they are definitely worth it. presentations of dishes looked amazing, I am planning to try some for next. keep it up!
While their drinks don't particularly stand out in taste compared to other cafes, I find their coffee to be quite affordable, and their ade drinks are visually appealing (I love the lightbulb concept!). However, I haven't tried any of their desserts or food yet, so I can't comment on that at the moment.
Great coffee and great spaghetti, strongly recommend the Gamberoni. The “ade”s are a really cool concept, they come in a light bulb shaped bottle with a tiny battery-powered light on the straw.<br/ <br/ Definitely recommend for dates and catch ups. Book a table now
I really love the decor of this restaurant, especially the hanging swing at the entrance. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the food was great. I had the burger and the hedgehog mousse, which was very adorable!
