We visited this week after lockdown finished, hooray. Again we wanted to try the Chinese menu, we were looking forward to it as the lady who took our order said yum. When the food arrived we looked at each other as it looked unappealing to...us. Usually Mongolian lamb is on a sizzling platter, this time it was just warm and on a cold plate. My husband said it looked like it had been microwaved, sadly the lamb had a lot of grizzle in it which was offputting. My meal Sesame chicken, served with fried rice Asian green, was also warm and just ok. We say these words with respect, as we are locals, we probably feel like we may not go back for Chinese, disappointed about this as we like to support...
The food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. The waiters were attentive and service overall was great. Love the look of the area especially the view is Amazing!!! We were told that there was a wait for food due to it being...really busy but after ordering our meals turned up really quickly, everyone loved their meals and there was so much of a variety. I asked if there had been a management change and lady at the front said the caterers were new! The quality is really showing! Overall great meals and great value and I certainly will be going back.
Since the close of the Bowling Club at the Bay, this club resturant seems to have lost the plot as well. Lunch was a poorly cooked roast beef, very grisly meat, so-called roast potatoes which had a bad taste like spice. The former cook...provided a Chinese menu as an alternative but that was not available. Not as good as Tomakin.
We are not really Club people but this was recommended to us by our accommodation and it was a Sunday night when a lot of restaurants are closed. The steaks we ordered were exceptional and we were very impressed with the customer service around covid...safety.

Just had a wonderful experience at the bistro food, drink service AMAZING!! Meals are a generous serving and the staff are beyond friendly professional (would love to know who trains them Special thanks to Hayley and Ashley for your beautiful hospitality!!!!
The line up for placing orders was very long. The club was crowded with older people. There were very few staff delivering meals. Fish was terrible. The batter was leathery. The fish smelled awful and was a very small serve.
The club is in a prime position with views of the river and plenty of parking. We found the decor modern and the staff very friendly and helpful, but the two dinners we had were of an average quality.
Rude inconsiderate no manners food missing paid extra for drinks than you would usually do so no manners at all over all service very disappointed and rude and uncomfortable

Arrived with a booking. Did all the right things with qr requirements and Vaccination proof. I didnt have my licence on me so was REFUSED entry. Their loss.
The food was expensive and the restaurant was very dirty. I will not be returning here and will instead go to the golf club.
