Hahahahaha... been living in the Bay since 2011 and actually never tried that little restaurant until today - and now I feel deeply ashamed as it's so darn good. Agree, the venue looks a bit weird opposite of the Woolworths (especially right now with all the renovations going on), but Woolworths should be proud to have that little shop in the shopping mall. I tried the BBQ pork with rice and vegetables and wasn't very clear to the owner/cook in what I exactly wanted (spicy or not, etc.), but received exactly the right meal. We have been going there for 3 years. We started off with Pad Tai and gradually went through the menu. It is a small place with about five tables but there are chairs outside where you can wait for someone to leave or get a take-a-way. The owner is very pleasant and he is always working and not chatting but he does wave to anyone he knows. Nice man, fabulous food and Best place at Batehaven!!!
Forget about Woolies and the fish shop next door, grab a table and the menu, sit and enjoy a meal you will never forget. The cook has magic in his cooking and he knows how to buy food and cook it! We have never had something we had to leave on the plate. Nothing is ever wasted and every mouthful is worth eating.Would you like a great Pad Thai? It is the best between Narooma and Ulladulla.
We would get a Takeaway from here about once a month , and the food is cosistently good . The service is excellent and quick and the owner is only too happy to cook food a certain way and cook a dish that is not on the menu . This is not a fine dining Restaurant but you can Dine in if you wish .The menu is priced well and the food is great value for money.
