Bizes is such a wonderful restaurant in chamonix. I visited for my boyfriend's birthday along with my sister and brother in law who live in chamonix and highly recommended this restaurant. As a coeliac, I was over the moon to hear EVERYTHING on the menu was gluten free! It was such a treat to be able to have so much choice. The food was delicious and we all had a really amazing time, the table we had overlooked the river so was absolutely unbeatable. The location and view are unbeatable, in central Chamonix just next to the rushing river. My partner and I stopped here after a very long day and we were both starving. I had the veg curry (they confirmed for me that it was vegan, all homemade and no fish sauce or anything like that). At one point I was quite concerned because I kept finding loads of what seemed like short blond hairs in my food but they were just ginger fibers. We had a bad experience with this restaurant. We reserved a day in advance in the restaurant for a specific table. When we arrived the next day 'our table' was occupied. The staff began arguing with each other, as if we were not there. No apologies or somerhing like that. No, we were put on a very tiny table where we could not get along with our seat without hurting other people. When we cautiously said some of that, the waitress went angry with us! That was a so very embarrassing situation. Disappointed we left the restaurant.

We were staying next door at Hotel Vallee Blanch so went the first time because it was close. But we sat down outside only to be told they weren't open. But Chloe asked what we were after - and given we just wanted coffee - she served us anyway!So we returned that night for dinner.After that, we kept going back as we didn't find anything better.The staff are super friendly, the service great, and the food is awesome. Prices are very reasonable.Highly recommended.
We ate here a couple of times and the food is excellent. No raclettes or pizzas or burgers! All freshly prepared, locally sourced food and a different menu than most of the restaurants in Chamonix. Imaginative dishes and some of them are cooked in a special oven. Friendly, attentive staff and weather permitting you can dine outside overlooking the river.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner on the riverside terrace at Bizes. From the starter through dessert, the food was excellent -- flavorful and well-prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive. All-in-all, a great dining experience. Note: during high season, make reservations!
A chance finding, this restaurant was a pleasant spot for dinner next to the Arve river with indoor and outdoor dining. The place was full and food was very good, good list and friendly service. I would recommend this place in Chamonix.
