This oxymoron of a restuarant leaves me feeling a little ambivalent about this casual eatery. This was my first time and this place and judging by its patronage (being predominately Asian) I thought I was in for a good chance in the tasting stake, but unfortunately, that wasn't really the case. I have heard so much about this supposed 'best chinese' but some how for me, quite the contrary. This casual dining house has very basic decor, the service as well, but prompt nevertheless. What we ordered was: prawn toast, kang kung, crispy chicken, and salt and pepper squid. The serving size was quite generous and what we ordered was more than enough. Enough to take some home and have for lunch...

Ah Botoli – the Chinese restaurant with an Italian name! What it lacks in street appeal and interior décor, it makes up for in great food. The menu is enormous! I have to admit, I never order there. Instead my Chinese mother and father in law order all the food. I think I’d be too overwhelmed and confused by the menu. But when the food arrives, it’s really good! I always leave feeling totally stuffed, and we usually get a doggy bag too. If you’re in it for good Chinese food (not for décor or atmosphere), and you’re confident with the big menu, I think you’ll like this place.

Brought a couple of my friends here and they like this humble little place. Of the dishes I've tried so far, I like their crab vermicelli hot pot, soft shell crab and camp fire beef. A few of their pork ribs dishes and lemongrass boneless chicken was quite delicious too. Found shandong chicken and pork belly with preserved vegie there too salty. Oh the stuffed tofu xo vermicelli hot pot and a mushroom dish (can't remember the name) were pretty decent too.

Great family run Chinese/Vietnamese food with good service. Have visited here numerous times over the years for many lunches and dinners. Would recommend the following: - deep fried salt and pepper flounder - dry Cambodian noodles - shandong chicken - Ginger & shallots with crab - stir fried chicken noodles (using udon noodles) - Vietnamese sour soup - deep fried prawns with salted egg yolk
