HORRIBLE SERVICE AND STAFF!!!! The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is the food!!! From our arrival the hostess (a guy and a girl) were unfriendly and rude. Not a good face for such a popular restaurant. Our waiter Taylor was incredibly slow to even greet us at the table. We had to wait another 20 min just to order the appitizers, when they finally arrived the crab cakes were good, the crawfish queso was good but the chips were stale absolutely gross told waiter he didn't care nor did he bring us new ones. Ordered the alligator fingers and a cup of seafood gumbo. The gumbo was different but, so good. I wish I had ordered a bowl of it. The gator fingers were good too, definitely would order again. We also had the cheese sticks, wow huge. Had a bite of their burger, it was ok, needed salt. Also had a bite of the chicken fried steak, also very good. The place looks very cool, think bayou atmosphere. Service was great and friendly. I would definitely stop again while passing through Waco.
I’ve read the bad reviews about poor service but that’s not what we experienced! Jill took great care of us. We all liked our food (bacon cheeseburger, kids grilled cheese and wings with spicy bbq with a side of red beans and rice), the view was amazing, and we got to feed turtles. Beer was good! A great break on our road trip. Would go back. Oh, and the bathrooms are amazing clean and modern.
Good customer service, nicely decorated place, delicious food. Loved the outside dining area with the river view. We tried the blackened codfish and the seafood platter. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend y'all to visit Buzzard Billy's.

We had an excellent experience with all of our food. The service was outstanding, and the drinks were great! The kids really enjoyed the view of the river, where they could see turtles and ducks swimming below.
This is a great place to come and eat! The Food is very well prepared. Presentation is very good and the flavors were on point. This is a place that you must visit and enjoy the great food on the Brazos River.
Our waitress was very helpful and took the time to explain the menu since it was our first visit. The food was fantastic, and the outdoor patio was lovely. We will definitely be back!
