carbonara is king - on a whim I decided to take the family out for dinner (an excuse for a night off cooking) & I decided on Don Camillo. When I entered the restaurant I didn't realise it was a fancy one. The decor was elegant & cosy. I panicked about taking kids, but the staff were nice & after a glass of wine I relaxed. We had garlic bread (yum, not greasy), pollo involtini (beautifully presented), vitello cotolette (good but salad was too salty to balance the cheese & crumbed veal) & kids had fettuccine alla carbonara (this was a hit with the kids & this was the best dish of the night). It was thebest carbonara I've had in years.
Well, back to Don Camillo for a medium brisk fixation of Italian, I have this place in high regard in high regard, so that the Missus, and I decided to make our two older age children in this institution in magnetic court, Dad and son, both Had the Mushroom Bruschetta was first class and junior was with his fish mesh, special note on the drinks, Raviolis and Marinaras, all rated well, there were decent coffee and Panna Cotta to get ready
The restaurant is warm and cozy and a good night was great if one of the children has picked up the tab !!!!

That has always been a real favorite of me. There are always very friendly and attentive employees. It is a very nice dinner, and the food is delicious and authentic. My favorite is the Pollo Involtini, which wrapped chicken breast in Prosciutto with Capsicum, served on a delicious Basil Pesto Gnocchi! ❤️.
One of the oldest italian restaurants in town the menue is somewhat stuck in time too compared to other more inspired dishes on offer in other alternatives. The food tasted average and the service was slow even though the place was not busy. The meals are somewhat overpriced for the quality on offer.

Looks can be fooled, on the entrance The restaurant looks great and everything until we had to eat the food ... The order was a breeze, the small appetizers were fast. But what kills is that it literally took an hour before the food came ... how CMON make it fast. And if the food finally came GG
This is what every neighbourhood should have - a good and reliable italian eatery. Yes there are more inventive dishes elsewhere, but I know what I'm going to get at the Don, they have an interesting wine list, and that's how a lot of people like it..
Brilliant food and super friendly service. I'm glad to go back here. I had the garlic bread, which even mentioned all alone. Net was filetto, which was recommended and was great. For the desert, Mamas Cassata, which was generous and excellent.
We dined on a very busy Friday night with friends. The staff were great and our meals were delicious. We had individual glasses of wine from an ample menu as well as dessert; the best affogato I've tried. We would definitely return.

Been a regular (once a year!) for ages, but last visit scored a 6.5/10. Food was OK, not great, but service was a bit down and the place seemed "tired". Still worth a visit, but it has lost that little edge.
