I have been a customer at this restaurant for many years, but I will not be returning. I was shocked to see that I was charged $4 for chocolate sprinkles, $4 for a cup of coffee, and $30 for a pancake. When I casually mentioned this to the owner, he complained about the high costs of running the restaurant, including paying his staff $20 an hour. Despite the restaurant always being busy and providing great service, the owner suggested I go to McDonald's instead. Thank you for the suggestion, but I will not be returning to your establishment.
We have been coming here regularly, and it is a great haunt for a lazy mid-day. The place is warm and nice, with very pleasant waitresses. It is always nearly full, so plan to come before 11 at least, if you expect to be seated immediately. Very classy dishes, and well made eggs, toast, and omelettes. My wife asks me to mention the coffee especially.Vegetarian options: The breakfast bowl, and some other dishes can be customized. We wish, other categories like sandwiches can also be customized.
Mixed feelings about this place. I think what I received was classic Dutch breakfast but I was fairly unimpressed with what I got for the price. The service was okay, and someone actually commented about how good their service was while I was there... I feel the restaurants in Vancouver have priced themselves out of a review that would say otherwise... $30 per person for French toast and eggs. Good service and I left a good tip.
Nothing too fancy here but it gets the job done.Hash and eggs with debakon and rye bread was ok. Also had the breakfast platter with sausage and sourdough. Not a lot that makes it memorable but also nothing which stood out as being bad either.You probably won't be disappointed coming here but you might not rave about it afterwards either.

I enjoyed a delicious avocado toast at this restaurant while observing other diners tackling large pancakes and breakfast plates at nearby tables. The service was friendly, although the wait staff were more pleasant than the owner. The bathrooms were quite dirty, and it's probably best not to peek into the kitchen.
This place is very good, the coffee is quite nice, and with the special container for the cream. That is so cute!The breakfast is so nice with sunny side up eggs, the cute hashbrowns are easy to chew and delicious!The burger with garden salad are very nice as wellIt will be recommended to my family and friends!
First visit and we had a great, hearty breakfast. The food and coffee were hot and great quality. The staff was friendly and the whole place had a casual, friendly vibe. There will definitely be more visits in the future! Thank you for a great first experience!
I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. I have been passing by this place for a while now, but I was never tempted to go in because it looks much nicer inside! The pancake was perfect and the service I received was excellent! I will definitely return.

One of our favourite places to eat. We know the people and they know us. The food is great and proportions are great. We usually end up taking home a little food.
Have to say after leaving Vancouver and moving to Holland. De Dutch is anything but dutch. Still one of the best breakfast places besides for Dennys and IHOP.
