We used to love the Fish Hopper. It has really gone downhill. Host staff is not pleasant and should learn some customer service. We were rushed through dinner even though the restaurant was almost empty at 6pm. Food has tanked as well. I paid $12.95 for a starter Cesar salad that was romaine core, dry croutons and a shake of cheese. You can’t ask for assistance from your wait staff as they disappear as soon as you order never to be seen again until they bring the check. We will not be back.
The waitress was excellent. The food was excellent. dinner entrees and a split dessert totaled a little pricey. But overall the experience was great. We had an ahi and coconut prawn salad and a skirt steak and split a creme brûlée. We would recommend all of them
As an airline pilot who spends days month away from home, the Fish Hopper is my go to place for breakfast in Kailua Kona. Good food, solid service, great “French Press” Kona Coffee; it starts my go home day right
We decided to go for brunch before our flight back to Seattle. It was the right decision. Great views, friendly service and good food. The price was fair and we walked away vowing to return Book a table now
The staff and waiter was very friendly. The drinks were good. Our soup was good. Our fish was not good. It was very dry. The view was very nice. We got to watch the sunset 
This was hands down the best meal we had during our trip to the island. Additionally, our server provided exceptional service. We will definitely return!
For the price I wasn't impressed with the food. Luke warm scallops, mussels and clams bland. Service was good though
