We were in town for the evening and searching for a dog friendly spot so the pup did not have to stay in the hotel. We came across Global Gourmet. The atmosphere was casual and inviting out on the back patio. The music selection was great and we thouroghly enjoyed our dining experience. We started with a Caprese salad which was fresh and flavorful. Our entrees were tasty as well but the desserts were out of this world delicious, an apple bread pudding and a chocolate raspberry slice of pure heaven. Honestly our favorite part of the evening was as we were leaving chatting with the owners of the establishment. Two great people with some amazing stories. You can tell they put lots of love in to...
Carbondale's Best Kept Secret. Global Gourmet...city atmosphere in small-town Carbondale. LOVE this restaurant...from the wine selection to the mixed drinks to the ever-changing menu to the atmosphere...what an excellent place to spend an evening with that someone special or with friends! Some of my favs (and there are many don't miss the artichoke dip for an appetizer. You can't go wrong for dinner...the filet with boursin is incredible...and for dessert, take your pick from anything on the menu! My favorite is the peanut butter cup, my mouth waters just thinking about it!
I love the atmosphere! Very cozy. The food was good, but the portion sizes were tiny. Our waitress was super friendly. The only complaint I have is that the tables are very close to each other, so it is somehow unpleasant to sit down, but otherwise we enjoyed our experience here: you even have small pillows, super comfortable. I will definitely be back when it's time to splurge again. Try the Empanadas if you can!! So delicious.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Both my old fashioned and wine selection were excellent, with a lot of flavor in both dishes. The lamb was perfectly cooked, and the portion sizes were nice. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Lucas also provided exceptional service.

10 out of 10! The owner, Andrea, welcomed us in despite the kitchen closing in 20 minutes. She went over the menu with us and was super friendly. Our waitress, Heather, was very polite and took great care of us. We sat out back which had a great ambiance! Food was excellent! Highly recommend this place!
Wow! I arrived at this restaurant excited after reading all the positive Google reviews, but I ended up feeling disappointed and hungry. In my opinion, that was a major letdown. Anyway, let me start from the beginning.
Ethnic. loves the variety of foods in this restaurant. for the first time I went overwhelmed by the different number of options on the menu. I had the choice of the lamb and was completely blown away. so much taste!
A wonderful hidden gem with limited changing menus focused on providing quality choices in a relaxed environment where the cook feels more like a well-respected uncle enjoying your enjoyment of fine food and drinks.
