I bemoan the yuppification of Dickson but there's still a couple of good inexpensive places to eat and, importantly, there's still some friendly service. Hangari is a not-too-small Korean restaurant offering a comprehensive introduction to Korean food. You might need some explanation of the Korean-named dishes, but for the basics - noodles, dumplings, and pancakes - the names speak for themselves. Hot pots available as well. I had noodles and the pancake. Everything was fresh and the side dishes - potato in a sweet sauce, seaweed and their own home-made kimchi - great accompaniments. Inexpensive lunch. Maybe to to everyone's taste, but worth a visit if only to try Korean food. Friendly staff...

Went there as recommended to try their fried chicken. So I ordered fried chicken takeaway. Went to use EFPOS and the waitress goes ohhh we have a minimum 30 dollar on EFPOS. I burst out laughing and repeated what she said to make sure I heard it right. I paid cash. Its a shame they need to do this to obviously take more cash at lunch times and probably evade tax.In any case an honest review. Chicken looked great and was the best deep fried chicken I have ever seen. Texture was faultless. Had zero taste. Yep it had no taste. I was warned by the girl to buy a cause as well. Surely you can actually taste fried chicken. Even the fat. Nope.30 dollar expos minimum. Hilarious.

Despite the prior comments about this establishment, we went on a Sat night without a booking, we were quickly seated and served well. The Korean BBQ was delightful and we loved the sweet potato noodles. Service was attentive (to the point where one of the staff stopped one of us from eating an under cooked piece of bbq chicken).I find the prior posts from previous patrons regarding tax evasion insulting, the minimum requirement for the $30 eftpos most likely relates to the fees imposed by the EFTPOS machine. Anyone who goes out to dinner without the ability to pay for their meal is more of an eye brow raiser in my view.

I spent nearly 30mins waiting for my order. The side dishes were served till last minute as well. The food was not really good and I only had half due to the bad taste. What was worse, they told me there is a minimum $30 spend for payiny by card when I was about to pay my bill. I only have $17 cash on me and the dish was $17.5. The "lovely" waitress wouldn't let me go even to quickly get enough cash. At the end they charged me extra dollar for such a terrible food and service. I will never go there again. Worst experience ever. Book a table now

My favourite Korean in Canberra with warm friendly service and delicious Korean BBQ. I love how they serve multiple little tapas like plates of veggies - potatoes, bean sprouts, seaweed, and the wonderful kimchi. My family go here just for the beef and pork BBQ. I like their hotpots and stir fried glass noodles. Also, don't miss out their kimchi pancakes.Bbq is expensive but worth every dollar, imho, since the marinade is what makes the food so delicious.

We dined for lunch in the weekend and the restaurant was about half full. Our order was taken at reasonable speed but the food took around 45mins to arrive. Some other patrons left while we continued to wait, which probably speeded things up a bit. The Korean omelette was hot and tasty, but both rice dishes were served almost cold - a problem when the dish calls for a raw egg to be semi cooked at the table by mixing with the rice.

This is our second visit and couple of years apart. The staff were friendly, The food was good, a very large seafood pancake accompanied by the usual side dishes, their kimchi was particularly good. Not too expensive. We had the mixed dumplings which were a bit heavy compared to the Chinese rice flour ones., but that may just be the way Koreans make them

Interesting. Not bad. Six first timers for lunch and we found it to be tasty and pleasant. We would have liked more guidance with the menu and we think a banquet option would be good for Korean cuisine newbies. Service was friendly. Probably just a little pricey for what it is. Would try it again. Book a table now

Food was very good, fresh and the BBQ to the table was very cultural. Staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very busy which shows how good the service and food is.
