Visiting Vancouver earlier this month, my wife and I went to India Bistro for dinner. Given that I have lived in India for nearly 11 years, I know a thing or two about Indian food. Entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a positive ambience. While I appreciate a clean restaurant like India Bistro, I reserve my final judgment until I have tried the food. The first morsel and I could see all the other positives (and they are plentiful) of this restaurant paling in comparison to the food. We tried the "Lamb Rogan Josh" and "Chicken Jalfrezi" and they were top notch. In fact, I loved the chicken jalfrezi more than the lamb rogan josh. We ordered take out from here and we were very disappointed with both our meals (butter chicken and palak paneer). It was made really quick which was nice, but there wasn't napkins or utensils in the bag (which of course we didn't notice until we sat down to eat). It wasn't nearly spicy enough, which made it really bland. The butter chicken was ordered mild and the palak paneer was ordered mild-medium. Both had zero spice to it and therefore not much flavour. The butter chicken was weirdly sweet... The garlic naan, however, was huge and delicious.
My partner and I just enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the India bistro (second time this week).Our server pooja, was delightful...she provided top notice service, never missing a beat with drinks or our meal.We ordered the butter chicken, saag paneer and chat...beautiful food, served bubbling hot.This restaurant is definitely a repeat experience.Check it out!
When we ate here in 2015, the food did not seem as good, but this past January, we decided to go back and we are glad we did. Turns out, the chef had just returned from an extended holiday. All we can say, is welcome back. We ordered naan, okra (Bhinda) Masala, veggie jalfraizi, Dal Buhkara, Malai Kofta and all were delicious.

We absolutely love Indian Bistro! Our concierge sent us there and it was the best experience we have ever had in Vancouver (and we travel there quite often). We had an interesting talk with our waiter (owner?) and had just absolutely delicious food. We will be going back each time we travel there. It is not to be missed!!
Instead of ordering a couple of dishes, we ordered a bunch of appetizers and had a go at them. They were really, really good. Particularly the aloo tikki ... amazing! Service was great ... and I have to say, just coming in from the cold to the smell of Indian spices was enough to tell us we'd chosen the right place.
We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. We started with a cucumber salad and calamari, they were both excellent.Our lamb entries were flavourful and hot. Service was good. The room was pleasant and the overall experience was pleasant. It was the kind of place that we will definitely go back to.
Not sure what to order let the staff recommend their favourites. This restaurant has great atmosphere a fairly large selection of meat, fish and lamb dishes.

Fast efficient service. The lamb with spinach was great as was the butter chicken. Perhaps a little more meat in the dishes. I would go again.
