"We waited a very long time (approx. 1 hour) for our food, and when it did finally arrive it wasn't great. The batter around fish (fish and chips) was hard and had been in the deep fryer too long. Our food had been sitting in the window too long as well. Even though it was still warm when it was served it cooled down very fast."

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Here are my concerns: 1) After being seated, it took 25 minutes for a bottle of water to reach our table, and an additional 20 minutes for the glasses. 2) We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. 3) The waitress frequently forgot our requests. 4) My friend ordered a coffee but received a latte instead. 5) We ordered a pitcher of mojito to share between my girlfriend and me, and we were very clear about that. However, when we got the bill, we found out the waitress had divided it among four people instead. Her only response was to say sorry, with no attempt to correct her error. 6) The tables around us were l...

We visited L’gros Luxe with our children but were asked not to sit on the terrace so as not to disturb other guests. We understood and agreed to this. The menu offered a fairly wide variety of vegetarian options, though it wasn’t very vegan-friendly. There is a children’s menu priced at about half the cost of the adult portions, but the dishes seemed quite similar to mac and cheese. My son ordered the vegetable poutine, and when the fried mushrooms arrived, they looked very much like meat. When we pointed this out, the waiter confirmed they were indeed fried mushrooms, which made us feel they were aware of this presentation. The poutine was tasty if you enjoy fried foods. I enjoyed the tofu...

The food at L'gros Luxe was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. After being seated, it took 25 minutes just to receive a bottle of water, and another 20 minutes for the glasses to arrive. Our food took a full 1 hour and 15 minutes to be served. The waiter appeared to forget our earlier requests, and my friend ordered a coffee but was brought a latte instead. Additionally, we ordered a pitcher that never arrived. While the menu offered great options, the overall experience was marred by slow and forgetful service.

This restaurant is an excellent representation of Gros Luxe. The food is fresh and offers a good mix of simple and classic dishes like burgers, tartare, and poutine. The atmosphere is French Boudoir style and clean, making it a great spot to enjoy something other than the usual wine and beer. The service is known for being friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. The ambiance is very good and it's hard to find a better place in town. Overall, a top choice for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. Book a table now

I arrived at the restaurant before dinner and tried two sips of my Caesar cocktail (the mango version, which may have been my mistake) before setting it aside because it was at an odd angle. The drink also did not come with the shrimp that was listed on the menu. I had heard other reviews mention the loud music, but it was even louder than I expected inside. The service was decent, but there was inconsistency with the staff wearing masks – half were wearing them while the other half were not.

I had a delicious and hearty Fiesta Mexicaine Poutine! The fish burger was also quite good, although the accompanying salad was a bit small and the dressing was a touch too bitter for my taste. The service was relatively fast and efficient. We enjoyed our meal, and the prices were reasonable, making it good value overall. There are plenty of nearby options, but I have no hesitation in recommending this one.

I'm thrilled that there are vegan and vegetarian choices on the menu. This place is similar to Gros Luxe in Montreal. The service was quick, likely because the restaurant wasn't very busy. The dishes were nothing out of the ordinary, but the ambiance was comfortable. The portions were on the smaller side, but I didn't mind too much since the food was quite rich. Overall, it hit the spot.

Very delicious and fill Fiesta Mexicaine Poutine! The fish burger was also good, but his accompanying salad was quite small and his dressing was somewhat too bitter. Service was relatively fast and effective. We enjoyed our meal, the prices were reasonable, so good value overall. tons of nearby alternatives, but no problems that recommend them. Book a table now

I absolutely love this place. The food is usually fantastic, though on my last visit it was just okay. We were seated right by the door, and the music was quite loud. There weren’t many people on a Thursday night, so I wish we could have been seated further inside, away from the entrance. I did notice a lot of takeout orders, though.
