We were very lucky and fortunate to stay for a week at the Heliopic Hotel. Having said that I perhaps would not recommend booking half board. The waiters and waitresses were always polite and Alex helped us out with some options half way through our stay. We felt there was not enough choice for children and vegetarians for a weeks stay. I felt the complimentary dips with bread were ok. Day 1 was fine, but again I feel for people staying at the Heliopic for a week it was all a bit the same for each night. Desserts were delicious and good. Presentation of all dishes was very good. I hope Mr Barbier does not take insult to this review in his reply. It is not criticism but simply honest feedback...
I booked online for a family diner during our stay in Chamonix. Tje restairant is located in a nice hotel: l'Heliopic, quite cosy environment. The staff is professional starting from the daily menu briefing at the entrance and ending by the menu explanation. We had...foie gras wn deux facons, Noix st Jacques and Supreme de Poulet whi le my eldest son was tempted by the courses menu. The youngest kid had chicken supreme with hand cut fries. Food was amazing as well as the dessert. It is not the place to go if you like quiet atmosphere as it was loud the whole night but this is part of the concept and the whole experience. Good value for money for the semi gastronomic place. Will come back
That’s a disaster… looking at the pictures, imagining how much I would enjoy tasty food with my family… That was not tasty, average and the food literally looked weird. Grilled salmon was absolutely raw inside. And one more thing was really strange: few waiters, seems new ones, were bringing plates literally with their fingers inside the dish. Disappointed…

Visited for my birthday in a week ago and could not have been better, the food was wonderful, and surprisingly inexpensive. The foie gras starter is a delight. Spent the whole meal with a great view of the mountains and the staff could not have...been more attentive. Full marks all round.
the value-price ratio is indefectible here especially for chamonix. the menu at 34€ (flat dessert entrance) is bluffing: good crust paste, excellent daurade and dessert at the level. Thank you, we'll try to come back!
